Disable Microsoft Teams Auto-Launch

This step-by-step guide will show you how to change the auto-launch settings for Microsoft Teams on Windows. After changing these settings, Microsoft Teams will not open at start-up. You will need to launch Teams to receive notifications/messages from the desktop application.

To disable Microsoft Teams auto-launch:

  1. Launch Microsoft Teams on your desktop.
  2. Click on the three dots next to your account picture on the top right.
  3. Select Paramètres.

  4. In the general settings menu, remove the check from the ‘Démarrer automatiquement l’application’ setting.

    All done! Close out of the menu.
